Metrune Terms of Service
Effective date:
These Terms govern your use of Metrune and getmetrune.com, provided by Metrune LLC, a New York company.
1. Acceptance and eligibility
By using Metrune after these Terms are made available to you, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
At launch, the Metrune application is offered only to users in the United States who are at least 18 years old. You must meet these eligibility requirements to create an account or use the application. You must also have the legal capacity and authority to enter this agreement.
Our Privacy Policy separately explains how we handle information.
2. The service
Metrune is a personal progress and analytics platform. It lets you define categories, record information, work with goals and targets, review trends and understand progress through features such as Momentum and Lifetime Progress.
Available features can vary by app version and platform. Descriptions of possible future features are not a commitment that those features are available or will be released.
3. Accounts
Provide an email address you control and accurate account information where required. Keep your credentials secure and do not impersonate another person or give unauthorized access to your account.
You are responsible for your own use of the service and for taking reasonable steps to protect your account. Contact support@getmetrune.com if you believe someone has gained unauthorized access.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you enter into Metrune.
You are responsible for deciding what to record and for having the right to provide that information. Do not upload information unlawfully or infringe another person’s privacy or intellectual-property rights.
Your records and calculated views depend on the information and settings provided. Check them before relying on them.
5. Permission to operate the service
You give Metrune LLC permission to store, reproduce, process and display your content as reasonably necessary to provide the service, calculate progress views, maintain backups, address support requests and deliver exports you initiate.
This permission is limited to operating and supporting the service. It does not transfer ownership of your content or grant a general right to publish it or use it in advertising.
Retention is described in the Privacy Policy.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use Metrune to:
- Break the law or infringe another person’s rights.
- Access another person’s account or information without permission.
- Bypass authentication or security controls.
- Introduce malicious code or interfere with the service.
- Abuse service limits, send spam or submit deliberately deceptive material.
These restrictions do not limit rights that applicable law does not allow us to restrict.
7. Metrune intellectual property
Metrune’s software, branding, designs and service materials belong to Metrune LLC or its licensors. These Terms give you a limited, non-exclusive right to use the service as permitted here; they do not transfer ownership of those materials.
Do not use Metrune’s name or marks in a way that falsely suggests endorsement or affiliation.
8. Availability and changes
We may update, change, suspend or discontinue features, including for maintenance, security or operational reasons. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or that a particular feature will remain unchanged.
Where practical, we will provide notice of material changes that significantly affect existing use. Some changes may need to take effect promptly to address security, legal or operational issues.
9. Third-party services
Metrune relies on third-party infrastructure and may let you open email, save files or share an export through services you choose.
Your use of those external services may be governed by their own terms and privacy practices. Metrune does not control copies of information that you choose to save or share outside the service.
10. No guarantee of results
Metrune helps organize and display information. It does not guarantee that you will achieve a goal or improve your health, finances, productivity, happiness or other outcomes.
Momentum and other progress measures are product-generated interpretations of recorded activity. They are not objective measures of your worth, health, success or quality of life.
11. Not professional advice
Metrune is a general progress-tracking tool. It does not provide medical, financial, legal or other professional advice, diagnosis or treatment.
Do not use its records or calculations as a substitute for qualified advice when a decision requires it. You remain responsible for decisions you make using the service.
12. Warranties
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Metrune is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the service will always be available, error-free or suitable for every purpose. This section does not exclude warranties or consumer protections that cannot legally be excluded.
13. Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Metrune LLC will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or business opportunities, arising from use of or inability to use the service.
This limitation does not exclude liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence or any liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or limit. Your mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
14. Suspension and termination
We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary because of a material violation of these Terms, security threats, unlawful conduct or legal requirements.
Where practical and appropriate, we will give notice and an opportunity to address the issue. Immediate action may be necessary in some circumstances.
You may stop using Metrune at any time. Stopping use, signing out or uninstalling the app does not itself delete your account or stored information. The Privacy Policy describes current retention and account-deletion availability.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without applying conflict-of-law rules that would select another jurisdiction’s law.
This does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms as the service changes. We will publish the revised Terms and effective date and provide additional notice or seek agreement where required.
Changes apply prospectively and do not remove rights that applicable law protects.
